If All the Cash Vanished

A song(?) about money.

If all the cash vanished

from all of the land,

if bank accounts were 0’s

no bills in hand…

The corporations panic,

they don’t know what to do,

‘cause how could they continue

if they can’t control you?

Housing would be free,

no beds on the street.

We’d all wear Supreme

and Jordans on our feet.

The government announces

there’ll be no more taxes.

The banks all agree

on no more credit card maxes.

‘Cause all the money’s gone,

we’ll find some other way

to share all our resources

and make it through the day.

That young starving family

will finally fill their bellies.

Maybe sit on the couch

while they enjoy the telly.

That single struggling mom

won’t worry anymore,

she’ll get all her kids

the toys that they wished for.

The guy who’s been plagued

with addiction to drugs,

could finally see the doctor,

and get that disease tugged.

No more crushing debt,

no more bills to pay,

so let’s all sit and relax,

there’s nothing they can say.

‘Cause all the money’s gone,

we’ll find some other way

to share all our resources

and make it through the day.

Maybe the hospitals

would finally find the cures,

maybe the wars

would stop being stirred.

‘Cause if money’s no problem,

what’s the point of fighting?

Let’s just sit back at night

and enjoy some nice lightning.

The world is finally peaceful,

nature’s taken over.

The world without cash

can maintain its composure.

If all the cash vanished,

if bills all turned to ashes

we could finally relax,

and sit down on our asses.

‘Cause all the money’s gone,

we’ll find some other way

to share all our resources

and make it through the day.

We’ll find some other way

and make it through the day.
